Location Words: Prepositions in Spanish

One of my favorite lesson! Very interactive and engaging.

Teaching students prepositions of location through a song with gestures.

Then, have students apply their learning in an communicative activity.

Students sit across from their partner. One student has a picture (9 pictures are provided) and they must speak entirely Spanish to describe it to their partner. The other partner draws. When they are done, the drawer can look at the original picture to see how accurate the description or their understanding was. They then switch roles with a new picture.

I am always amazed at how great my early level Spanish students are able to apply their vocabulary and knowledge and describe a picture accurately to their partner.
